The house is available now. The lease is for one year but may be extended for an additional 3-5 year with 2 months notification. The house has 3 bedrooms upstairs and 2 down stairs. There is a family room with nat gas fireplace downstairs. The laundry room is large and has some good shelving units for storage as well. We kept a second fridge and a small freezer in there and there was lots of room. The dining area opens onto an upper deck. The lower deck has a secure storage under the stairs for a BBQ.
The yard has been landscaped in Japanese fashion with a small river between two small ponds in one garden, a nice reflective garden and big rock garden with a Japanese lantern. It is introduced in Manitoba Gardener in August, pages 10-11, by the previous house renter, they loved the garden. There are two apple trees that yield well, raspberries, strawberries, cherry tree and a vegetable garden area. The house is in a very safe and friendly neighbor hood and is very private because it is on the end of a short dead end street. The back yard is fenced. As well there is no traffic so the street in front of the house is very safe.
The lot is 180 feet deep and there is a 150 green space behind it. There is a large two story deck and 2 sheds in the yard. One shed will be used by us to store some belongings but the other has a small greenhouse attached and can be used. We are leaving the lawnmower and garden tools.
We would prefer non-smoking and no pet if possible.
